Dr. Markus Kaim is Senior Fellow at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swp-berlin.org\/wissenschaftler-detail\/markus-kaim\/\">German Institute for International and Security Affairs of the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik<\/a> (SWP). He has been a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.daad.org\/en\/\">DAAD<\/a> Professor for German and European Studies at the University of Toronto (2007-2008), and Acting Professor for Foreign Policy and International Relations at the University of Constance (2007). He was a Visiting Fellow at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at Johns Hopkins University (2005). Since 2012, he is Adjunct Professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipz.uzh.ch\/en.html\">Department for Political Science, University of Zurich<\/a> and Guest Instructor at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>His latest publications include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swp-berlin.org\/en\/publication\/the-new-white-paper-2016\">&#8220;The New White Paper 2016 \u2013 Promoting Greater Understanding of Security Policy?<\/a>&#8220;,\u00a0<span class=\"small-text\">SWP Comment 2016\/C 47, November 2016<\/span><\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swp-berlin.org\/en\/publication\/more-german-blue-helmets\/\">More German \u2018Blue Helmets\u2019.
