The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is very pleased to host a special Keynote Lecture “Legitimacy Crisis, Democratic Representation, and the Future of European Integration” with Dr. Christina J. Schneider, Professor of Political Science, University of California, San Diego. A poster is attached for reference. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 3:00PM-4:30PM, in Rm. 2017, Dunton Tower.

About the lecture: The European Union has entered the 2020s under new leadership with the ambition to rebuild the public support partially lost in the various crises of the past decade.  In her keynote lecture, Christina J. Schneider, reflects on the EU’s democratic legitimacy in the post-Brexit era. As professor in the Department of Political Science at University of California, San Diego. Her primary research fields are international and comparative political economy, international institutions, and European politics.
