The Baltic Way That Moved the World: 20 Years After

In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations with Canada, the Chairs of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the three Baltic states will discuss the events in their home countries in 1991 that led to the restoration of national independence with the collapse of the Soveit Union.

A unique photo exhibition, The Baltic Way that Moved the World, will be available for viewing both before and after the panel discussion; the exhibition documents the 600 km human chain that linked over a million people from all three countries.

The Panel: The Chairs of Foreign Affairs Committees of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia

Mr. Marko Mihkelson (Estonia)

Mr. Romualds Razuks (Latvia)

Mr. Emanuelis Zingeris (Lithuania)

Moderator: The Honourable Peter Milliken, former Speaker, House of Commons

Coffee & refreshments, and viewing of the photos, starting at 10:00am
