The digitalization of ever more areas of action and conflicts between the major powers has led to calls for European power politics in the digital sphere. These are (only) justified if they are understood in accordance with democratic values and multilateral principles and related to the promotion of open society. What future scenarios are plausible for the EU\u2019s position in a growing tech rivalry between the United States&nbsp;and China?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Bendiek is Senior Associate in the EU-Europe Research Division<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swp-berlin.org\/en\/\">SWP<\/a>) Berlin. Her current research focuses on&nbsp;Digital geopolitics, EU cyber diplomacy, EU cyber security regulation and EU cyber defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is free and open to the public.
