She has been Chair, Dept. of International Economic Relations, and Director, Centre for Asia-Pacific Studies, Vladivostok State University; Dean of the School of International Affairs, Far Eastern State University; and Leading Researcher, Central Economics &amp; Mathematics Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She holds the distinction of Doctor of Economic Sciences, as well as Russian national awards for contributions to higher education and research. She has been a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington D.C., as well as with the British Academy, the University of Washington, the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and California State University (Hayward).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her experience includes undertaking and leading teaching and research programs at universities and research institutes in Ukraine, Russia, the U.S., the U.K. and Canada in various fields of socio-economic development and public policy. As the head of teaching and research departments and a leading researcher and senior professor, she has had extensive experience in advising government officials on public policy reforms and transformation processes of Soviet and post-communist societies and economies. She has also led several economic management Technical Assistance projects in Tajikistan for the EU and the World Bank in 2009 -2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research and Teaching Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research areas have covered various levels of public policy from enterprise level to local and regional governments and the national economy, international relations and participation in the world economy. This has included a focus on interconnections between domestic and foreign policy. She has undertaken research on economic and social policies, regional policies and foreign policy for economies in transition, including relations between former soviet republics, and participation of former soviet states in regional groupings aimed at economic cooperation or integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her studies and research have included economics, systems analysis, cybernetics, national economic management, international economic and foreign policy, models of economic and social development, and international and regional economic integration, including of transition and post-transition economies in the European and Eurasian context. Her publications include numerous papers, journal articles, book chapters, monographs and books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current Research Interests <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Policy and transformation in post-communist societies and economies, including the interconnections of domestic and foreign policies and development economics. Integration into the world economy as a means to greater efficiency for post-transition economies. Participation in regional and multilateral economic groupings and multilateral governance. Comparative analysis of socio-economic models as a contribution to the debate on socio-economic policies.
