Laura Glasser graduated from the Russian and Eurasian Studies Stream at EURUS in 2022. Prior to joining the Institute, Laura completed a BA in Russian Language and Culture<\/a> at the University of Ottawa. She was drawn to EURUS because of its specific focus on Russia and Eurasia as well as its co-op program<\/a> with the federal government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her time at EURUS, Laura completed co-op positions at the Privy Council Office<\/a>. Laura also enrolled in EURUS\u2019 internship course<\/a>, where she had the opportunity to work at the Immigration and Refugee Board.<\/a> She found both of these experiences helped in her deciding her future career path. For her cumulative research project, Laura wrote a thesis focusing on the memory of Stalin amongst youth in contemporary Russia and Georgia. Laura spent time working at archives and in focus groups in Georgia to conduct her research. Currently, Laura works for the federal government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
