The topics are especially relevant on an international level, in terms of security issues, relations with the West and the political orientation of Russia towards the near abroad. The Current Digest provides access to the Russian perspective on the development of events in the region and the range of newspapers from which articles are taken reflect various political opinions. WNC provides translated information from a large selection of newspapers from many countries.
