Examples include professional development services and seminars, non-credit course offerings, publications, space rental, and contract services.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is it important?<\/h3>\n<p>Entrepreneurial activities are not the primary function of the University, and as such, due diligence is required during the planning and execution of any sale or provision of services.\u00a0 Entrepreneurial activities have distinct reporting requirements, some which may be government legislated. \u00a0For example, <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/harmonized-sales-tax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HST<\/a> may be applicable.\u00a0 To capture these requirements, entrepreneurial activities are assigned unique Fund codes.<\/p>\n<h3>Where do I find more information<\/h3>\n<p>An enterprise Fund may be requested by completing a <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/financialservices\/request-for-a-new-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Request for a new Fund form<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is it?
