At every stage, from drafting your procurement through the end of your Contract, you will have a key role to play.<\/p>\n<p>Procurement Services requires VPM to be included when creating a qualified supplier list (see <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/glossary\/v\/vendor-of-record\/\">Vendors of Record<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/glossary\/r\/rfsq\/\">Request for Supplier Qualifications<\/a>). VPM may be included on any open <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/glossary\/c\/competitive-procurement\/\">competitive procurement<\/a>, where it will add value.<\/p>\n<p>While not every Contract may include a formal VPM process, Contract owners should always monitor their deliverables and understand what they and their <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/glossary\/v\/vendor\/\">vendor<\/a> have agreed to.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is it important?<\/h3>\n<p>The success of your Contract is closely tied to ensuring deliverables are monitored throughout.
