These indirect costs are those that cannot be readily identified with the research and relate to the administration and operation of the University.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is it important?<\/h3>\n<p>The amount of overhead is determined as per the policy, finalized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/coris\/\">Carleton Office of Research Initiatives and Services (CORIS)<\/a>, and then managed by Research Financial Services.
