What is it?<\/h3>\n

A Taxi Chit is a coupon that can be used as a means of payment for taxi services within Ottawa. They are a convenient method for charging eligible local transportation costs directly to the University so that an individual does not have to carry cash.<\/p>\n

Why is it important?<\/h3>\n

Requested through Procurement Services, a booklet of taxi chits with specific FOAPAL information can be provided to administrators to distribute as required within their department. Each chit, pre-marked with the appropriate departmental FOAPAL, is filled in by the user of the taxi service and given to the driver as payment when their ride is complete.<\/p>\n

A monthly invoice is received by Accounts Payable with a breakdown of all chits used for that period and the cost is allocated to the FOAPALs specified.<\/p>\n
