As the FACTS program turns one, here\u2019s a look at what we\u2019ve been up to and where we\u2019re headed.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the FACTS program?<\/h3>\n<p>FACTS stands for Financial Administration Community Training and Solutions. As the name of the program suggests, FACTS is a Financial Services\u2019 initiative aimed solely at offering financial administrative tools, support and training to Carleton\u2019s faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<h3>Who is the FACTS program?<\/h3>\n<p>All of the tools, support and training offered by the FACTS program are made possible by Financial Services\u2019 knowledgeable subject matter experts.<\/p>\n<h3>Year 1: The Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>307 people attended 40 hands-on training sessions<\/li>\n<li>227 people completed the new PCI Compliance eLearning<\/li>\n<li>Launched the FACTS website<\/li>\n<li>29 Tips from a Financial Insider Series.\u00a0 The top 3 &#8230;\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/2015\/tips-from-a-financial-services-insider-need-help-with-invoicing-2-of-2\/\">Invoicing: An Improved Form<\/a> \u2013 viewed 413 times by 119 users<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/2015\/tips-from-a-financial-services-insider-insurance-3-of-3\/\">Insurance: Rental Vehicle Insurance <\/a>\u2013 viewed 202 times by 196 users<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/2015\/tips-from-a-financial-services-insider-procurement-2-of-5\/\">Procurement: When Should you Single-source or Sole-source?<\/a> \u2013 viewed 191 times by 176 users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Getting it right<\/h3>\n<p>Recognizing that the program has to meet the changing needs of the campus community to be effective, I gather feedback and use it to improve the program on an ongoing basis. Currently, feedback is gathered through participant evaluations, the <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/financial-community-feedback-series\/\">\u2018Financial Community Feedback Series\u2019<\/a>, focus groups, targeted emails and general feedback.<\/p>\n<h3>Where is the program headed?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A yearly training calendar<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to Financial Administration for Administrators (eLearning)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/cu-events\/\">Ongoing events<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In February 2015, Financial Services launched the FACTS program.
