In association with Rideau River Residence Association (RRRA) and Carleton University Student Association (CUSA), Fall Orientation will feature three separate pop-up movies taking place on campus during Fall Orientation Week.
Participation for this event is restricted to Fall Orientation registrants. Participants can only register for one movie (ie – you cannot attend all movies).
Attendance is limited, please only register for a movie below if you are sure you are able to attend; registrations cannot be shared, traded, or passed along to other students as they will be issued to your student number.
Drive-in movie information (September 7)
- Registration is for the driver of the vehicle; passengers do not need to register for a movie ticket.
- Participants and guests will be required to check in using cuScreen indicating they are approved to be on campus as per Carleton University’s COVID requirements
- The event will use an FM transmitter to play audio, participants will need a functioning radio in their vehicle to hear the movie.
- Food and drink will not be permitted outside of your vehicle.
- Participants must remain in their vehicles for the duration of the event.
Pop up movie information (September 8 & September 9)
- Each participant must register using their student name and student number.
- Seating will not be provided – you are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on.
- Food and drink will not be permitted.
- Participants will be required to check in and provide vaccine attestation using cuScreen indicating they are approved to be on campus as per Carleton University’s COVID requirements.
- Participants are asked to respect physical distancing guidelines, and only sit in groups of up to 3 with individuals in their social bubble (same household, residence floor, roommate etc.).
- PARTICIPANTS MUST REMAIN AT THEIR SEATED LOCATION FOR THE DURATION OF THE EVENT.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Movie ticket will be emailed to registrants on Tuesday, Sept 7.
- Participants must PRINT their movie ticket and display on their front dashboard (drive-in) before arriving to campus.
- Participants will be asked to check in to the movie using cuScreen and follow all Carleton University guidelines for accessing campus.
- In order to limit shared spaces, participants must keep their windows up at all times (drive in movie), or remain at their seated location (pop up movies)
- There will be NO FOOD and NO BEVERAGES available on-site.
- We ask that participants refrain from smoking at the outdoor venue.
- Participants must leave the event location once the movie has ended.
