We will be accepting online registrations for both movies on September 4 at 9:00am on our Fall Orientation website.
Due to current social distancing rules outlined by City of Ottawa and Ottawa Public Health, we will have limited spaces available and expect to reach full capacity. We will also accept waiting list registrations once each movie registration becomes full.
Carleton University will continue to follow Ottawa Public Health recommendations to keep students safe. As such we will stager parking spots and limit participation to those remaining in their vehicles.
Only the operator (driver) of the vehicle needs to register. Anyone accompanying in the vehicle DOES NOT need to register individually, but we strongly encourage anyone attending in the same vehicle be part of the same social bubble as outlined by Ottawa Public Health.
Participation for this event is restricted to Fall Orientation registrants only.
No – there will not be any food or beverages sold on-site. As part of Fall Orientation policies, this will be a Dry Event; no alcohol or cannabis will be permitted onsite. Security will be on-site to monitor all activities.
No – due to the limited amount of spots to enjoy these opportunities, we are limiting participation to only one movie. If you are attending the first movie, you must vacate the parking lot immediately upon conclusion of the movie. You can NOT stay to watch the second movie.
Similarly – anyone registered for the second movie will only receive access once the parking lot has been completely cleared out.
We will broadcasting the movie audio through an FM Transmitter. You will receive confirmation about which radio station to tune into with your movie pass. We recommend bringing a portal radio to use throughout the movie so that you don’t need to keep your vehicle running.
Registrants will receive their personalized credentials / movie tickets by email on September 7. These are NOT transferable and can not be passed along to other students. Credentials / movie ticket must be PRINTED by participant and placed in the dashboard for easy identification. In order to limit shared spaces, we are asking participants to keep their windows up and remain in their vehicles throughout the event.
Should you no longer be able to participate, please contact us at email@example.com so that we can invite a student from our waiting list.
License plates will be used to properly cross check registrants with vehicles arriving at a safe, socially-distanced space. Event organizers will be placing larger vehicles in the back row(s); spots will be assigned based on their discretion. No changing of parking spots once assigned.
Yes! This event is open to all Fall Orientation registrants, but space is limited and is anticipated to reach max capacity. Interested participants who are unable to register successfully are encouraged to register for our waiting list in order to be notified should any spots become available.
