Being a Facil is a great way to build your leadership skills and get involved with EngFrosh especially if you have never done it before! No prior EngFrosh experience is required to be a Facil and we welcome volunteers from all programs at Carleton! We are looking for Facils that are creative, energetic, friendly, and are looking forward to creating a great experience for first-year students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All volunteers must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a returning undergraduate student for the 2026 fall term;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/good-standing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Good Academic Standing<\/a> as defined in the Carleton University Undergraduate Calendar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive an ACE decision of Eligible to Continue (EC) through the duration of the role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All volunteers will need to submit a Vulnerable Sector Check (sometimes referred to as a Police Background Check) before EngFrosh begins in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"important-dates\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Facil Interviews &#8211; February 2 &#8211; February 6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EngFrosh 1101: TBD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EngFrosh 2026: September 6 &#8211; September 13, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Residence Move-Ins* and In-Person Training*: Will be the first week of September 2026&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>There will be other dates added throughout the spring and summer for meetings and mandatory training. *Residence Move-Ins and In-Person Training to be confirmed by July.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-process\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications for EngFrosh 2026 Facilitators <\/strong>will open on <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">January 9th 202<\/strong><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">6<\/strong><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in being a part of Jr Media, you must also complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScuCJqs9UFxRAP5vNQIVz8MHNg_W5djZunpvXkbc0ZQ94m1ng\/viewform\">Jr Media Application Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact <a href=\"volunteersupport@engfrosh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">volunteersupport@engfrosh.com<\/a>&nbsp;if you have any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is an EngFrosh Facil?
