The Bachelor of Cognitive Science (Honours) requires 20.0 credits and normally will take 4 years to complete. Students may choose from one of two degree programs, as well as one of five specializations streams. When choosing a stream, 15.5 of the 20.0 credits required for the degree are specified by the Institute for Cognitive Science, while 4.5 credits are free credits.
The Bachelor of Cognitive Science (General) – provides the same broad interdisciplinary training as the Honours degree, without the intensive focus in a particular specialization subject. By your second or third year of study you will begin to develop your expertise in one of five areas of specialization:
- The Biological Foundations of Cognition
- Cognition and Computation
- Cognition and Psychology
- Language and Linguistics
- Philosophical and Conceptual Issues
