Professor in the Department of Psychology, Craig Bennell has received a Building Connections Award <\/em>for his outstanding contribution of achieving exceptional success in building research relationships and connections, which have had a sustained impact both over time and across research programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bennell was given his prize at the Passion for Research Luncheon<\/em>, a celebration of the university\u2019s research excellence, on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2013, the Carleton University Research Prizes recognize outstanding efforts that go beyond the specific research programs of individual faculty and have led to the advancement of the profile of Carleton University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From all of FASS, congratulations Dr. Bennell!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMore than anyone else I know, Craig reflects the values of our institution while undertaking his teaching, research and administrative work \u2013 values such as excellence, interdisciplinarity, collaboration, accessibility, and accountability \u2013 and he builds on Carleton\u2019s existing strengths to make a positive difference for people at Carleton and in the broader community. \u201cWe have known Dr. Bennell for many years through the Society for Police & Criminal Psychology (SPCP). We can attest to the high level of service that Dr. Bennell has provided to SPCP over the years. As a member of the Executive Board of SPCP, we were on the committee that selected him to edit our journal. That selection was based on his strong record of scholarship, his attention to academic rigor, and his demonstrated hard work, sound judgment, and reliability. Our journal thrived under his 5-year term as journal editor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
