Through his award-winning work as a composer, percussionist, artist, instrument builder, researcher, and educator, he is deeply committed to making music as broadly accessible as possible. A musical innovator by nature, arguably the most compelling of his extensive accomplishments is the work he has done to facilitate music making among those who have experienced barriers to music making historically due to disability, poverty, criticism, or lack of musical training &#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/futurefunder.carleton.ca\/campaigns\/we-are-all-musicians-support-inclusive-music-making-in-our-community\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read more about the WAAM initiative.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carleton University is proud to be a partner of <a href=\"https:\/\/givingtuesday.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Giving Tuesday Canada<\/a> \u2014 a global movement to encourage giving as a means of making a positive and powerful impact on our communities. This year is more exciting than ever, as Carleton will be matching up to $500,000 in donations made on November 27<sup>th<\/sup> through FutureFunder, our online crowdfunding platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FutureFunder provides you with an opportunity to support Carleton students and research initiatives that make a difference on campus and beyond. These projects can make an impact with support from our passionate community\u2014those who share our commitment to show the world that we are \u2018Here for Good\u2019. We will also be hosting a number of exciting challenges to win funding for the project of your choice.
