Last Friday (Feb. 22), U.S. president Trump announced that health care organizations that provide abortion referrals will no longer receive federal family planning funds. This change will likely lead to a loss of millions of dollars for Planned Parenthood and redirect some of those funds to religious-based anti-abortion groups. From the New York Times: \u201cThe rule, which has been expected for months, is the most recent step by the Trump administration to shift the direction of federal health programs in a conservative direction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
