There is a wide variety of work falling under several different categories. This year, we had four MA students and 1 BA student nominated, our\u00a0<strong>best showing ever<\/strong>. Well done everyone! Being nominated for an award is a recognition of the innovative work that we do around here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday evening, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 1.125rem; display: inline !important;\" href=\"http:\/\/dhawards.org\/dhawards2020\/results\/\" target=\"_blank\">winners were announced.<\/a> We are extremely pleased and proud to say that Chantal Brousseau\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 1.125rem; display: inline !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/digiarch.netlify.app\" target=\"_blank\">course blog from HIST3000<\/a> Introduction to Digital Archaeology was nominated in the category of \u2018Best Exploration of DH Failure\/Limitations\u2019 and\u2026\u00a0<strong>it won!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Critically examining what works (or not) and why, along with the implications for what we can know, is a key aspect of what makes digital work in history and the humanities more broadly what it is; extremely strong pieces from faculty in the US and from various journals were also up for consideration in this category this year. Chantal\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 1.125rem; display: inline !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/hist-digitized.netlify.app\" target=\"_blank\">thoughtful examination<\/a> of her own work in the context of the broader historiography was powerful and persuasive.
