He was ICCS President from 1983 to 1985.<\/em>The awards form part of a strategy that is aimed at promoting, especially throughout the Canadian academic community, works that have been written by members of the Canadian Studies international network. The awards are intended to designate exceptional books that contribute to excellent scholarship in Canadian Studies and will be awarded only once to the same person, as author or co-author.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/csn-rec.ca\/prizes-awards\/csn-rec-prizes-and-awards\/18900-best-book-in-canadian-studies-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Best book in Canadian Studies<\/a><\/strong>: This prize is awarded annually for an outstanding scholarly book on a Canadian subject and that best advances our knowledge and understanding of Canada and Canadian Studies.
