Bill Morrison’s Dawson City: Frozen Time, a documentary that recounts the fascinating history of 533 long-lost silent film reels discovered buried beneath the permafrost in a Canadian Gold Rush town.

The film is heading to Ottawa this Friday 28 July at Bytowne Cinema. You can watch a trailer for the film here and see the full list of playdates on this website.

Fun fact: many of the reels restored in this documentary are housed in the Bibliothèque et Archives Canada/Library and Archives Canada located in Ottawa!
