Can trans ever be represented?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join Fulbright Canada Distinguished Research Chair of Arts and Social Sciences C\u00e1el M. Keegan virtually on Friday, March 25th between 3:00pm-4:30pm for an informal conversation about research at the intersections of gender, media, visibility, aesthetics, ethics, and activism. Keegan<\/strong> is the Fulbright Canada Distinguished Research Chair of Arts and Social Sciences at Carleton University and Associate Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Grand Valley State University. He is author of <em>Lana and Lilly Wachowski: Sensing Transgender<\/em> (University of Illinois Press, 2018) and co-editor of <em>Somatechnics<\/em> 8.1 and the <em>JCMS<\/em> In Focus dossier, &#8220;Transing Cinema and Media Studies.&#8221; His writing has also appeared in <em>Genders<\/em>, <em>Queer Studies in Media and Popular Culture<\/em>, <em>Transgender Studies Quarterly<\/em>, <em>Mediekultur<\/em>, <em>The Journal of Homosexuality<\/em>, <em>The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies<\/em>, <em>Film Quarterly<\/em>, and <em>FLOW<\/em>.
