Weather Storm Warning Update

Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025

To all Members of the Carleton Community,

6 a.m.

The Environment Canada Winter Storm Warning that forecasted heavy snow for the Ottawa area remains in place. However, at this time the accumulation has not materialized as expected.

The university is currently open and all classes will be held as scheduled today.  Any student who has questions regarding their scheduled classes for today is encouraged to contact their course instructor. If you are using public transit to get to campus, please consult the OC Transpo website for scheduling on your route.

We continue to encourage anyone travelling to campus and around the university to exercise caution as crews are working to keep snow cleared from main roads, paths and parking lots. However, as a result of the overnight snowfall, roads and pathways may be slippery.

For those employees who conclude it is unwise to attend campus, we recommend discussing with your manager to make appropriate work-from-home arrangements.

The university will continue to monitor the Environment Canada alerts and will provide updates as information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Duane McNair, Vice-President (Finance and Administration)
