Assistant Director, Strategic Initiatives and Communications

Chris Cline joined Carleton University in 2011 as the Media Relations Co-ordinator within the Department of University Communications. He has worked for the university in roles related to social media and digital communications, science, and IT communications. In 2025, he joined the Finance and Administration division as the Assistant Director, Strategic Initiatives and Communications.

In this role, Chris supports the Vice-President and the eight departments within the division to provide a range of communications services, including but not limited to: strategic communications advising, communications plans, change communications initiatives, and editing and writing.

Prior to working at Carleton, he worked in the non-profit sector. He is a proud Carleton alumni.
