Gary Nower joined Carleton University on Sept. 4, 2018 as Associate Vice-President (Facilities Management and Planning).
He has had a distinguished career in the post-secondary sector and, specifically, facilities management that spans more than 30 years. Prior to coming to Carleton, Gary was the Assistant Vice-President: Physical Resources at Wilfrid Laurier University. His vast experience includes large-scale capital construction, planning, facilities management, space management and sustainability. He has also presented on emerging issues in the industry, as well as won the Minister’s Award for Environmental Excellence in 2017, and the Kitchener/Waterloo BIA Sustainability Award in 2016.
He has two undergraduate degrees, in science and economics, as well as an MBA.
