The durability and portability of the term, appearing both as scholarly framework and as activist clarion call, is in itself remarkable. In the north, it performs what Jennifer Nash calls \u2018corrective ecological work\u2019 in and against women\u2019s studies programmes. In southern contexts, the term has hitched itself to the decolonial turn, working in tandem to rub against hegemonic academic narratives.
