Professor Gentile\u2019s research is co-author of <a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/distributed\/C\/bo70067419.html#:~:text=National%20Security%20as%20Sexual%20Regulation,-Gary%20Kinsman%2CPatrizia&amp;text=From%20the%201950s%20to%20the,targets%20as%20threats%20to%20society.\"><em>The Canadian War on Queer: National Security as Sexual Regulation<\/em><\/a> (2010) with Dr. Gary Kinsman and the author of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ubcpress.ca\/queen-of-the-maple-leaf\"><em>Queen of the Maple Leaf: Beauty Contests and Settler Femininity<\/em><\/a> (2020) which was nominated for th<em>e Canadian Historical Association Best Scholarly Book in Canadian History Prize 2021. <\/em>She is co-editor of two anthologies, <a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/distributed\/W\/bo70045576.html#:~:text=and%20Pauline%20Rankin-,We%20Still%20Demand!,and%20gender%20activism%20and%20scholarship.\"><em>We Still Demand!:\u00a0Redefining Resistance in Sex and Gender Struggles<\/em><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/distributed\/W\/bo70045576.html#:~:text=and%20Pauline%20Rankin-,We%20Still%20Demand!,and%20gender%20activism%20and%20scholarship.\"><\/a> (2016) and ) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/10.3138\/j.ctt5hjwfw\"><em>Contesting Bodies and Nation in Canadian\u00a0History<\/em><\/a> (2014) that feature chapters on sexuality, gender, nation, and bodies.
