The Possibilities of Silence: A Crip\/Queer Perspective of Knowledge Construction and Communication with the Coming Out of Sexual Violence Experiences<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Conducted through Carleton University, this project is looking for interested individuals who meet the noted eligibility criteria to participate. Participants will be given $25 CAD cash as compensation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project title<\/span>: The Possibilities of Silence: A Crip\/Queer Perspective of Knowledge Construction and Communication with the Coming Out of Sexual Violence Experiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility to participate:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Female identifying individuals 18 years or older
\n\u2022 Located in Ottawa
\n\u2022 Recognize as having experienced some form of sexual violence
\n\u2022 Have own journey of attempting to disclose experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to expect:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will be asked to engage in a total of two interviews for about 2 hours each. Interviews will be scheduled about one month apart from each other. Interviews will discuss topics of sexual violence and disclosure, how individuals understand disclosure, the use of language when trying to communicate violence, and reflect on the process of coming to different understandings of participants\u2019 experience overtime. The project further includes the use of art and storytelling, anonymous narratives will be created from the interviews and shared with other participants, with permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will be given $25 CAD cash as compensation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
