Earth Hour 2018

Saturday, March 24th 8.30-9.30

For one hour, on Saturday March 24th, the Carleton Community is being asked to turn the lights out. This is part of a global statement of concern over climate change and a commitment to finding solutions to environmental issues.

While we can all individually contribute by turning lights out and unplugging unnecessary electrical goods during this hour, we can also maintain these habits and inspire a culture of sustainability here on campus and in our homes.

Action on our campus

During the event FMP will look to reduce all accent lighting across campus. In addition students in residence, through the green team program, will be hosting a dine in the dark, open mic night, junk art and board game evening. They will also be showing the movie, An Inconvenient Sequel, to inspire action.
