As part of the City of Ottawa’s work to expand the O-Train, the pedestrian pathways running under the train tracks will be closed until fall 2020.

Beginning Wednesday, July 29th the underpass leading between Robertson Hall and Richcraft Hall will be closed with detour signage in place to direct pedestrians across University Dr. using the designated cross walk, and following the pathway along the river, to navigate under the rail tracks.

As of Monday, July 27th,  the underpass near the Carleton O-Train station is closed with a temporary pathway put in place from parking lot 4, over the train tracks to Campus Avenue.

The closures are required to allow for the City of Ottawa to expand the train tracks, as well as to conduct future sewer work.

The O-Train is shut down for two years to allow the City of Ottawa to twin the tracks and allow for expansion of the LRT.

Carleton University has developed a dedicated website for all transportation updates impacting the campus, including information about the O-Train shutdown, at:   https://carleton.ca/transportationplan/
