As part of the continuation of the watermain repairs that caused flooding in Southam Hall in May, Facilities Management and Planning is scheduling a temporary water shutdown on Monday, Aug. 9 with water to be reinstated on Tuesday, Aug. 10 to the following buildings: MacOdrum Library, Loeb, Paterson Hall, the Social Sciences Research Building, HCI and VSIM.

For Southam Hall, the temporary shutdown will be in place from Monday, Aug. 9 until Monday, Aug. 16.

This shutdown is required to allow for the reconnection of the main water line to these buildings. Please note that during this period, the cooling will also not be available in these buildings.

Please note that during this period, the buildings will remain open, under COVID building access protocols. With the watermain shutdown there will be no washrooms available, nor will there be cooling throughout the affected buildings. In addition, there are no functional emergency eyewash or showers. As a result, laboratories are to refrain from using hazardous materials during this time.

Facilities Management and Planning appreciates your patience as we complete this work.
