The chiller serving Dunton Tower experienced mechanical problems overnight Sunday and is currently off line. The repair technician has investigated, and the unit will remain off-line until full repairs can be made.
In the interim, a rental chiller has been sourced, and is currently being installed. This chiller is expected to be in operation on the afternoon of Friday July 22. Please note that this rental unit is smaller than the original equipment and as such, will only be able to provide cooling to the exterior offices of the building. The interior spaces including corridors and elevator lobby will remain warmer than usual.
To help mitigate the equipment size differential, the rental chiller will be in operation 24/7, and will not be shut off overnight. Additionally, when temperatures permit, overnight air will be brought into the building which will help cool the interior spaces.
