Normally, there are <u>twenty to twenty-two UG-TA positions<\/u> in each fall and winter term, and <u>four to six positions<\/u> in the summer term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A UG-TA is both an award and a real job, and being a UG-TA requires <strong>5 hours per week<\/strong> (65 hours per term)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"how-do-i-qualify\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I qualify?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> year students with a <strong>top 5%<\/strong> <strong>GPA <\/strong>in a major in Chemistry, Food Science, or Nanotech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3<sup>rd<\/sup> year and\/or 4<sup>th<\/sup> year students with a <strong>top 15%<\/strong> <strong>GPA<\/strong> in a major in Chemistry, Food Science, or Nanotech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtained <strong>a grade of \u201cA\u201d<\/strong> or above in the course\/lab to TA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be <strong>well-organized and responsible<\/strong>. If you failed to finish the UG-TA duties on time or had complaints from students, your future UG-TA will be affected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"how-can-i-apply\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can I apply?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Please submit your application in <strong>Carleton Central \u2013 TA Outside priority<\/strong>.
