Kathy\u2019s research interests include the datafication of social assistance programs, media framing of marginalized communities, and the political economy of news. Kathy is interim co-Director of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/align\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">ALiGN\u00a0Media Lab<\/a>, created by Dr.\u00a0Merlyna\u00a0Lim, which\u00a0includes working\u00a0with marginalized communities and groups engaged with challenging dominant narratives.
