2019 Bell Lecture: Senator Kim Pate Calls for Reform of Justice System

Senator Kim Pate

Senator Kim Pate made a impassioned argument on behalf of incarcerated and marginalized people at the 2019 Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture on March 18. The lecture is a highlight of FPA Research Month, a month-long event series in the Faculty of Public Affairs.

Prior to being named to the Senate in 2016, Senator Pate spent more than 30 years working in Canada’s legal and penal systems as the Executive Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society.
