Bagels and Banter is a monthly opportunity to discuss shared research and teaching and learning topics with faculty members in a relaxed setting. Learn about new topics, teaching methods and potential research collaborations.
Please join Sandra Robinson and colleagues from The School of Journalism and Communication (Communication and Media Studies) for a discussion around teaching hands-on workshop courses, from digital media production to telling stories with data. How do we effectively introduce students to professional skills and practice? How do we approach these sorts of courses or incorporate short assignments in our classes that require specialized skills?
Bagels and Banter is open to all faculty members. Faculty members are encouraged to bring their senior graduate students along.
