Bagels and Banter is a monthly opportunity to discuss shared research and teaching and learning topics with faculty members in a relaxed setting. Learn about new topics, teaching methods and potential research collaborations.

Bagels and Banter is open to all faculty members. Faculty members are encouraged to bring their senior graduate students along.

October’s topic “What is PhD Career Development and What Are We Doing About It?” is presented by Jonathan Malloy (Department of Political Science)

There is increasing interest in the academic and non-academic career outcomes of PhD students, but different conceptions of the issue and the role of faculties, programs, supervisors, and students themselves. This discussion will enable colleagues from across programs and disciplines to discuss their perspectives and share experiences and practices.
