Each year, the Faculty of Public Affairs honours its best students at the Dean’s Honour List reception. Typically held in the stately Richcraft Hall Atrium, the reception recognizes those students who have achieved a GPA of 10.0 or better.

These are just a few of the dozens of comments that were shared during the FPA Dean’s Honour List reception on February 4, 2016, which honoured students in the Faculty who earned a GPA of 10.0 or higher.
More than 250 students, along with their family and friends, watched excitedly as their names and quotations were projected on a big screen in the River Building Atrium.
“For these students with us today, even the sky may not be the limit,” said André Plourde, Dean of the Faculty of Public Affairs. “We are incredibly proud of them. They embody our values at the Faculty of Public Affairs as we strive to foster informed citizenship, contribute to better democracy, and build better societies.”
“Success comes when you follow your passion. When you study what you love, you want to be good at what you’re doing.”
“My strategy involves good time management and knowing when to take a break. I’m on the varsity fencing team, so that usually means I’m taking a break to exercise.”
“This was a close-knit program, so I felt a lot of support. I really enjoyed my classes in Social Work.”
