Job Title & Organization: Sector Specialist, Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement, Standards Council of Canada (SCC)

Length of time in this role: 3 months

On the Job: I work with stakeholders including government departments, industry associations, conservation authorities, and SCC-accredited Standards Development Organizations to develop or update standards that increase Canada’s resilience to climate change. My current projects include flood resilient design in residential communities, stormwater management, standardization to support use of data from non-federal government-operated weather stations, and sustainable procurement.

How I Got Here: I previously worked at the British High Commission in Ottawa as a climate change policy advisor and then as a science and innovation officer.

Fun Facts: I am an avid cyclist and outdoors enthusiast.  I’m a bit zealous about recycling and green-binning!
