On the job: I work with the Council’s team to develop and execute communication strategies, manage its social and digital media presence, lead strategies to enhance member activities, and leverage new channels to reach key audiences.
Snapshot of daily duties:
- Work closely with the CEO to proactively identify media opportunities and respond to requests
- Lead a small team in creating and developing original content for several channels, including podcasting, videos, social media posts, reports, op-ed and other documents
- Work closely with the Vice Presidents and policy experts to build their reputations as thought leaders
- Collaborate with communication professionals in partner organizations and within member companies to design and implement public relations and communication activities
How I got here: Some of my previous roles include Director of Media Relations and Content Strategy with NATIONAL Public Relations and Director of Communications at the Embassy of Israel in Canada.
More about me: I am an Adjunct Professor at Carleton and teach courses in professional communications and digital diplomacy. I am a Member of the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom and a recipient of the Frieman Family Young Leadership Award – recognizing someone under 40 for exceptional service to Ottawa’s Jewish community.
