Job Title and Organization: Policy Analyst, Transport Canada

Length of time in this role: 1 year

On the Job: I work in a team responsible for intelligence analysis and national security policy, as they relate to the security of the Canadian transportation system. One of my main responsibilities is to prepare briefing materials for senior management (our Deputy Minister, Minister, etc.) regarding issues and initiatives across the security and intelligence community, and how they relate to my department’s mandate and program areas. Another area of my work involves developing departmental procedures for implementing and responding to Government of Canada national security and intelligence policies and initiatives (e.g. the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians). My role requires me to be up to speed on evolutions in the threat environment and on the department’s many different programs and policies, across all modes of transportation.

Fun Fact: I am a huge musical theatre fan, and spend most of my free time in the community musical theatre scene – as an audience member and on stage.
