DESCRIPTION:The Famous 5 Foundation Ottawa Group, in partnership with Carleton University, is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Today’s Ottawa Famous 5 Awards — celebrating five remarkable persons who embody the courage, vision, and leadership of Canada’s original Famous Five.



These honourees exemplify the spirit of determination and social impact that continues to inspire generations:




Dr. Diana Beresford-Kroeger – Climate Visionary and Scientist



Jocelyn Formsma – Indigenous Leader and Advocate



Dr. Indu Gambhir – Physician, Humanitarian and Community Builder



Fae Johnstone – Advocate for Gender Justice and 2SLGBTQIA+ Equality



Sarah Awada – Youth Leader and Health Advocate
