FPGA\u2019s strong showing in competitive external research grants and awards continued this year, with several grant winners from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the National Science and Engineering Research Council, the Department of National Defence, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Trans-Atlantic Platform, the Transatlantic Dialogue and the Ivey Foundation, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October, Daniel Rosenbloom was named the Rosamond Ivey Research Chair in Sustainability Transitions<\/a> in the School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA). It\u2019s the first chair in Canada devoted to the scholarship and practice surrounding the rapidly growing field of sustainability transition in Canada. It further strengthens Carleton\u2019s commitment to sustainability through The Transition Accelerator, Efficiency Canada, and the master programs in sustainable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
