Kayla received her B.A with highest honours from Carleton University in Psychology. She is currently working toward her M.A. degree in psychology with a focus in forensic psychology. Her primary research interest includes gender differences in pathways to delinquency. Specifically, Kayla is interested in gender differences in past traumatic experiences and substance use behaviors among justice involved youth. She is currently working on a meta-analysis with Dr. Brown focusing on gender differences in the prevalence of trauma experienced by justice involved populations.
