Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I studied French literature, college education, and language instruction at Universit\u00e9 Laval in Quebec City. I held a number of teaching positions before joining the Department of French at Carleton University in 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I taught French and French culture at Universit\u00e9 Laval for seven years (1983 – 1990), and French literature at Coll\u00e8ge de la Gasp\u00e9sie et des Iles for two years (1992 \u2013 1993). I also worked as a teacher educator at Coll\u00e8ge des Saints Coeurs Byblos in Lebanon (1998 \u2013 2000), where I worked closely with teachers to improve their pedagogy and prepared a weekly journal of tips and reflections for teachers. I have been teaching French language and literature courses at Carleton University since 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have always been fascinated with words. I write poems, songs, and short pedagogical and cultural texts. I also hold literary workshops in some of my classes. Over time, I have increasingly specialized in teaching French Canadian literature and notably the language, culture, and history of Qu\u00e9bec as reflected in its literary tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
