{"id":34,"date":"2015-04-09T20:20:41","date_gmt":"2015-04-09T20:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/?page_id=34"},"modified":"2015-04-14T22:23:32","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T22:23:32","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About Fresh Thinking"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Welcome to the home of the <strong>Fresh Thinking Series,\u00a0<\/strong>an innovative and evolving approach to grassroots quality improvement at Carleton University.<\/h3>\n<p>This community-based group is open to leaders at all levels and statuses\u00a0(faculty, staff, management, casual, contract)\u00a0looking to use a supportive environment to solve their challenges; help solve the challenges of others; and learn from their peers.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Involvement in The Fresh Thinking Series is voluntary for each and every employee of Carleton and can be done a number of ways:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/events\/\"><strong>Monthly Meetings:<\/strong><\/a> The community meets at lunchtime on the last Tuesday of every second month from 12:00 \u2013 1:30pm, with the last 30 minutes being a social mixer for those who wish to stay and chat. Meetings are organized by\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/about\/planning-group\/\">Fresh Thinking Planning Group<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/news\/\"><strong>Community Insights Blog:<\/strong><\/a> The Community Insights blog provides faculty and staff with a unique outlet for sharing stories, ideas and actionable insights that support our culture of continuous quality improvement.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/groups?gid=4379710\"><strong>Online\u00a0Networking:<\/strong><\/a> Connect with the community on LinkedIn via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/groups?gid=4379710\">Fresh Thinking Series \u2013 Carleton University<\/a>. This group is open to Carleton University employees only and a free LinkedIn account is required to join.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/freshthinkingseries\/events\/lunch-roulette\/\"><strong>Quarterly Lunch Roulette:<\/strong><\/a> Sign-up to be connected with a random faculty or staff member. Grab coffee or lunch with someone new and learn about their contributions to the Carleton community.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cu_quality\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Twitter:<\/strong><\/a> Follow the Twitter feed\u00a0of the Office of Quality Initiatives <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cu_quality\" target=\"_blank\">@CU_Quality<\/a>.
