Tia is a fourth year honours student with a concentration in forensic psychology along with a minor in neuroscience and mental health. Originally from Nova Scotia, she chose Carleton University with passion for research in the forensic psychology field.
Research: Tia’s research is underway with involvement in the gender and crime lab with the supervision of Shelley Brown. Moving forward, she hopes to focus her research on women and girls involved in violent crime and substance abuse with reference to the criminal justice system. She hopes to discover further research interests during her time in the gender and crime lab.
Future goals: With a thirst for learning, Tia is striving to continue her education into graduate studies with a focus in the forensic field. She aspires for her future career to revolve around supporting women and girls who are involved in the criminal justice system, with additional attention towards rehabilitation.
