Originally from Nova Scotia, she chose Carleton University with passion for research in the forensic psychology field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research: Tia\u2019s research is underway with involvement in the gender and crime lab with the supervision of Shelley Brown. Moving forward, she hopes to focus her research on women and girls involved in violent crime and substance abuse with reference to the criminal justice system. She hopes to discover further research interests during her time in the gender and crime lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Future goals: With a thirst for learning, Tia is striving to continue her education into graduate studies with a focus in the forensic field.
