I have a personal interest in conservation/environmental fields. My education and experience in Mexico allowed me to enjoy working in the field and perform GIS tasks (e.g., monitoring and mapping in natural protected areas). As a newcomer to Canada, I started following these passions and was fortunate to meet people that led me towards Carleton’s DGES.

I am now working towards analyzing spatial patterns of mercury contamination in wolverines in the North American Arctic. My research is co-supervised by Dr. Murray Richardson and Dr. John Chételat. More specifically, I’m interested in identifying ecosystems and environmental drivers of mercury concentration in wolverines. My work is possible with the collaboration of Environment Canada, provincial and territorial biologists, and local trappers. Many thanks to them.

[46

post-27214","cu_people","type-cu_people","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","cu_people_type-graduated-grads
["GET
